Anthony earned his undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College where he double-majored in English Literature and Psychology. A former collegiate athlete, Anthony played four years of varsity baseball at Swarthmore and earned all-conference honors all four years. After graduating from Swarthmore he played baseball abroad in both Puerto Rico and Mexico before coming back home to pursue a career in physical therapy at Mercy College. During that time strength training became his new passion and he participated in his first powerlifting meet in 2019.
